Introducing the Mitel Connect* for Mobile App – We are excited to bring you a new version of the Mitel Mobility Client, now called Mitel Connect for Mobile App. Gone are the days of “mobility” being an option – in today’s workplace it is a necessity. Available for both Android and iOS, Mitel Connect for Mobile App significantly improves the user experience. It brings together all the call handling, conferencing and directory features of your Mitel desk phone so users can work from anywhere.

Mitel Connect for Mobile Available now!
The Mitel Connect for a mobile app is available for Connect CLOUD and Connect ONSITE users. Users can easily download the Mitel Connect mobile app from their iOS or Android app store and log in instantly using their credentials.

Mitel Connect for Mobile App Features
Mitel has prioritized the initial release to include high-usage features first. All basic phone functionality is available in the new Mitel Connect for Mobile App. Enhanced features will be added to the app of a monthly release cycle. Your users will be able to grab the latest versions directly via the app store.
Included with this release:
- Dashboard: Easily view upcoming events, recent activities, and join meetings in one click.
- PBX Features: Stay connected on the go with features such as voicemail, hold, transfer, and more.
- Wi-Fi/Cellular Call Handover: Never lose a call due to bad reception or Wi-Fi.
- Security: SRTP security for both voice and UC signals, even in public hotspots.
- Apple CallKit Integration for iOS: Seamlessly switch between native and app calls without missing a beat.
- Answer app calls from a locked screen.
- NEW! Receive a native cell phone call without interrupting the app call in progress.
Enhanced features to be added in the following months include:

Mitel Mobility Retirement
Mitel will continue to support the ShoreTel Mobility Client for a period of 60 days. As of September 20, 2017, ShoreTel Mobility will no longer be available from the app store for download. Mobility as an app will no longer be supported by ShoreTel. Please upgrade to the ShoreTel Connect for Mobile App as soon as possible.
Upgrading is “brilliantly simple.” To upgrade:
- Download the new app labeled Mitel Connect from the respective app store.
- Provision the new app on your device.
- Remove the older version of the app.
Q: Can I use both the new Mitel Connect app and the legacy Mitel Mobility client at the same time on my device?
A: While it’s possible to have both applications installed on your device, Mitel recommends that you uninstall the legacy Mitel Mobility client before using the Mitel Connect for Mobile App. If you choose to retain both apps of your device, you cannot run them simultaneously – you must log out of the one app to use the other because only one app per device can be registered at a time. Alos, be aware that having both apps installed might cause a drain on your device’s battery or other issues.
Q: How can I populate my Favorites list in Mitel Connect?
A: Any Favorites that you can create in the Mitel Connect client are displayed in your Favorites list. Currently, this is the one way to populate the Favorites list in Mitel Connect for iOS and Android.
Q: When I change my Availability State in Mitel Connect Mobile App, does it override how I set my Availability State on the Connect client?
A: Yes, when you change your Availability State, either in Mitel Connect for iOS/Android or the Mitel Connect client, that most recent change takes precedence over any previous changes.
